About Me

1I am a New York-bred transplanted Californian who is now stuck on Long Island.

I've lived in New York since birth except from 1993-2006 when I lived in California. I should have never left... California, that is.

Old Business, New Business

[originally posted on Fridae.com]

Hello, again, everyone.
Greetings from snowy and cold Long Island.

It’s quite an adjustment to get used to cold weather again.  Especially considering that I was born and raised in this reason.  The past few weeks have been quite an adjustment for me.

Since I was last on Fridae, I have been searching for work, which I finally found in late January.  It’s taking me a while to adjust to my new (old) environment; so I haven’t been very active online since coming East.

Since I am getting back into the swing of things, let me thanks all who have written and wished me holiday greetings of one sort or another.  That was very kind; I apologize for not reciprocating.

The next nonsense in this neck of the woods is Daylight Savings Time, which in other parts of the world is called Summer Time.  Considering we’re still in the throes of winter, I’m sure that will seem quite odd.

I’m very much looking forward to warmer weather, when men of all shapes and variations feel comfortable going shirtless.  Meanwhile, life goes on.  So, I’ll just bundle up the covers and hunker down until the weather breaks.

Care to join me?

Ciao for now!
Mike
